A first-of-its-kind partnership between Snapchat and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, engineered to reach a generation that conservation campaigns had never effectively engaged.

Challenge

Conservation campaigns had never effectively reached younger Australians. The Great Barrier Reef Foundation needed to engage a generation on its own terms, in the channels it actually lives in.

Approach

We designed a social-first campaign using Snapchat's AR capabilities to make reef conservation visceral and immediate, turning passive awareness into active advocacy among younger audiences.

Outcome

A first-of-its-kind partnership that put reef conservation in front of a new generation where they already are, with national press coverage to match.
